Technical information
Server details (minimum specification)
- Fast Intel Pentium 4 processor
- 2 GB RAM
- Raid Mirrored Hard Drives
- Daily backups
- 24-7 Monitoring of all services (including web and email servers)
Network Locations
Our servers are located in a datasuite within the network owned and
managed by Wyre Forest Computer Solutions Ltd. We have worked with
them for several years and have built a very good relationship with
them.
The primary site houses the main private datasuite and is located at
the TelecityRedbus facility in Docklands London. A secondary site is
housed within the Telehouse North building, providing greater
redundancy and improved connectivity for the network.

Equipment
The
core BGP+ network is built on Cisco 6500 series switches running 720
3BXL supervisors, connected to the core server network based on Cisco
4000 series catalyst switches.
The Cisco 4000 series was chosen to be at the heart of its internal
core network. With switching capabilities reaching over 60Gb/s and the
ability to house up to 240 x 10/100/1000 network ports, these units are
ideal for a port hungry layer 2 switched internal networks.
Each unit runs a combination of 10/100, 10/100/1000 along with short
haul fibre interfaces and functions fully redundantly via 3 hot swap
power supplies.
A full set of spares are maintained, including chassis, blades, power
supply units and supervisor modules for the 4000 series catalyst
switches in operation.
