The IPC are a long established prayer movement with a global audience. The focus of their work is in informing and enabling others to pray and in creating gatherings and networks around prayer. They came to us to redesign their website and in particular to make it easier to use and more informative.

Strategy & planning

The main requirement of the redesigned site was that it needed to look good and work well particularly in the area of navigation and user experience. It was also imperative that the end product would be streamlined and easy to manage. Looking into the future, the new site needed to be flexible enough to grow and develop.

Insights & user research

Through explorations of the use of the site and who the users who we sought to develop creative navigation systems that made finding content easier, particularly grouping it around themes and nations. We also sought to break down the large volume of content into more accessible chunks.

The new site was designed with a contemporary look and feel, using bold colours and strong images which reflected the diversity of the IPC. We continued the emphasis on navigation with a new Prayer Alert system and an interactive Prayer Map which highlighted nations where stories where emerging.

Alongside the new Prayer Alert and Prayer Map system we created simple intuitive navigation systems throughout the site and a contemporary slider on the front page. The sense of people engaging in this movement was amplified by a simple white silhouette image at the base of the slider.

Testing & evaluations

We provided a simple to use Vexillum CMS system for addition and management of content to the site and provided support to the IPC as the new site was launched. We also thoroughly tested the site on all platforms.
