To change your password for Mac OS Mail

Launch Mail on your Mac.
Click “Mail” from the Mail menu and click “Preferences.”
2. Click the “Accounts” tab. A list of your email accounts will appear in the left pane of the Accounts preferences window.
3. Select the name of the email account.
4. Click the “Password” text field to select the old password, press “Delete” and type in your new password.
5. Select outgoing mail server and select Edit SMTP Server List
7. Click on the Advanced tab, then type in your new password.
8. Click OK
9. When you close out of the Account Box, it will prompt you to save changes: click Save.
You will still need to change your password for all other applications and devices that you use your email for.
