If you have a cPanel hosting account with us you will also have access to the file manager. Here you can access, view, modify, add, and delete files that are stored in your website folders.

Please note, only use this if you are sure of what you are doing as you could break your website. Also it is possible for changes to be overwritten if your site is maintained using an update script or 3rd party developer.

Below is a simple guide on how to access your file manager and use some of the features in the application.

 

1. Log into your client area click on services then on the active button next to your hosting account (see our video on how to access cPanel)

1.1 Under actions you can login to your cPanel

1.2 In your cPanel search for file manager and open this

1.3 Normally your publicly viewable files are stored under the folder public_html (double click to enter this folder)

1.4 Using the options in the toolbar you can use several of the tools including copy, rename move and upload

1.5 Within the upload tool you can drag files e.g an image file and upload it to a specific folder you have created
